What do I have to do?
Undertake a thorough examination and inspection of lifts and lifting equipment used to lift persons every 6 months. Lifts and lifting equipment not used to lift persons should have a thorough examination and inspection every 12 months.
Who can undertake the thorough examination and inspection of lifts and lifting equipment?
This activity is very specialised and only an experienced, qualified lift engineer should undertake the task.
